Q: How do I enter?

Entries will only be allowed via approved Entry Portal and the official entry links. Late entries are discouraged but will be managed on the day by Mysportevents employees.

Q: My results are incorrect, how do I fix this?

All queries regarding timing must be sent via email to info@bouttime.co.za no later than 48hours after the event.

Q: How do I find my standings in the series?

Q: How do I improve my seeding?

Your seeding will be based on previous results in the Cycle Lab MTB Series only. Seeding can be improved only by increasing your accumulative points.

Q: I have not received my Cycle Lab Voucher for competing?

Q: How do I deal with a race incident?

All race incidents to be reported to race Commissaire on the day of the race.

Q: I have lost my board?

You can purchase a new board on the day at the organisers gazebo.

Q: What are the consequences of not adhering to event rules?

Riders that do not adhere to event rules can be disqualified by either the race director or race commissaire.

Q: How do the age categories work?

Your category will be determined by the age that the rider will be on 31 December of that year. No 6 or 20 yr old riders will be permitted to participate.

Q: Can I ride for another school?

You may not ride for another school. Students may only ride for the school under which they have registered.

Q: Can I ride as an individual?

Unless special permission is granted by the race organisers, all students must be linked to a school.

Q: Can I race with another race board?

Riders that race with another race board will be disqualified.

Q: What are the rules around Cycling Kit?

School cycling kit must be worn unless the school does not have an official cycling kit, a plain shirt may be worn.

Q: How does the tech zone work?

Schools may only set up a tech zone in the area demarcated for this purpose. If you experience a mechanical problem once you passed the tech zone, you may not go back. The course must be completed on foot before you can get assistance.

Q: What are the rules that govern Rider, parent or Manager behaviour?

The Cycle Lab MTB School series race director/commissaires reserve the right to remove anyone from the event if they are found to be interfering with the organisers or any official’s duties. The Cycle Lab MTB School series race director/commissaires reserve the right to remove anyone from the event that exhibits unacceptable behaviour. Any complaint must be submitted to the Race Commissaire.

Q: How soon before my start time must I be on the start line?

15 min before your start time.

Q: How do I communicate with race organisers?

Race organisers will only communicate via Team Managers or Schools Cycling SA. Race organisers will not liaise with pupils or parents directly.

Q: Can you transfer your entry to another date?

Transfer of entries will be considered on case by case basis and will be at the discretion of the organiser.
No transfer will be considered beyond the close of entries on the preceeding wednesday at 00h00 before each race. transfers are not guaranteed.

Q: When do entries close?

Entries close at lunchtime 12h00 on the Wednesday preceding the event. Any late entry will carry a late entry penalty of R50.
